Black Beast Rug (Maria Prymachenko, 1936)
This designer rug by Shishka Project is based on “Black Beast” (1936) by Maria Prymachenko — one of the artist’s early works that shaped her distinctive visual language.
At the center of the composition is a fantastical creature — an embodiment of strength, intuition, and primal energy. The contrast of the dark silhouette with ornamental details creates a powerful and expressive image, rich in symbolism and emotional depth.
The rug is produced as part of an official collaboration with the Maria Prymachenko Family Foundation and belongs to a limited series that translates the artist’s work into contemporary collectible design.
The total edition is limited to 100 pieces (across all available sizes).
Each rug is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, indicating the date of production and an individual edition number.
Positioned at the intersection of art and design, the rug functions as a collectible art object — shaping the space while adding depth, character, and cultural narrative.
