Pony armchair — Elephant Edition (Maria Prymachenko, 1937)
The Pony armchair by Shishka Project is inspired by the work of Maria Prymachenko, and particularly her painting “Elephant” (1937).
The form of the chair, designed by Julia Kononenko, is intentionally chosen — its soft, rounded volumes and slightly fantastical character resonate with the creatures inhabiting Prymachenko’s artistic world.
Combined with textile adapted by Julia Kononenko from the original artwork, the chair transcends its function and becomes a continuation of the image itself — as if the creature has moved from canvas into physical space.
The chair is part of an official collaboration with the Maria Prymachenko Family Foundation and belongs to a limited edition.
Strictly limited to 50 pieces.
Each piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
