Lisovyk-Fizkulturnyk Rug (Maria Prymachenko, 1980)
This designer rug by Shishka Project is based on the painting “Lisovyk-Fizkulturnyk” (1980) by Maria Prymachenko — one of the artist’s characteristic works, where Ukrainian mythology is combined with elements of contemporary life.
The fantastical forest character appears in the role of an athlete, creating an image that is both ironic and deeply life-affirming. The work reflects Prymachenko’s unique artistic language — vivid, decorative, and rich in fairy-tale symbolism.
The rug is part of an official collaboration with the Maria Prymachenko Family Foundation and belongs to a limited series that translates the artist’s work into contemporary collectible design.
The total edition is limited to 100 pieces (across all available sizes).
Each rug is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, indicating the date of production and an individual edition number.
Positioned at the intersection of art and design, the rug functions as an independent art object, shaping the space while adding cultural depth and narrative meaning.
